Adele Baillie is the Head of Year 7 at GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha, where she is dedicated to supporting students as they embark on their secondary school journey. Having already made a positive impact within the school community as a Physical Education teacher, Adele is passionate about creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, confident, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Originally from Scotland, Adele holds a Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching and brings extensive experience teaching across a range of educational settings. Her background in both Physical Education and Learning Support has strengthened her commitment to developing well-rounded learners, fostering resilience, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

A specialist in Netball with more than eight years of coaching experience, Adele believes that sport plays a vital role in building teamwork, leadership, confidence, and perseverance. She is committed to ensuring students have opportunities to grow both academically and personally throughout their school experience.

As Head of Year 7, Adele works closely with students, families, and staff to ensure a smooth transition into secondary education, placing wellbeing, strong relationships, and high expectations at the heart of everything she does.

Outside of school, Adele enjoys staying active through sport and fitness, attending concerts, reading, trying new activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.
