Shema holds the position of Head of Key Stage 2 and Year 6 teacher at MTW. Previously, she served as the Head of Key Stage 1 at GEMS Founders School – Al Mizhar, where she played a pivotal role in the school's development since its inaugural year. With five years of experience in nurturing and shaping the school, Shema is excited to bring her expertise to MTW.

Having been in the teaching profession for a decade, Shema possesses a diverse range of teaching experiences across primary education and has successfully led large teams. Since 2016, she has been based in Dubai, thriving in the vibrant educational landscape and being an integral part of GEMS education. Prior to her relocation, she taught in Manchester, England, where she gained valuable leadership experience in ICT and Phonics teaching and learning. During her leisure time, Shema indulges in outdoor activities such as kayaking and cycling, often exploring the Al Qudra bike track.

She has a passion for traveling and immersing herself in different cultures, always seeking new destinations to discover. A lover of literature, she finds solace in reading captivating books by the beach. Shema hails from Penrith, a quaint town nestled in the beautiful Lake District of the United Kingdom, and cherishes the moments spent with her family amidst the breathtaking landscapes of her hometown.
